As we look ahead to next school year, the Woodmoor PTSA is beginning to plan for new ways to create sustainable, meaningful support for our students, staff, and school community. We're especially focused on maximizing our efforts while keeping things simple and impactful.
To make this vision a reality, we're looking for volunteers to join our PTSA Board in set roles or as committee leads. Whether you’ve been involved before or are thinking about jumping in for the first time, we’d love to hear from you!
We understand that everyone’s availability looks different, so we offer a variety of volunteer opportunities—some are seasonal, others are short-term, and others require a year-long commitment. There’s a way to get involved that fits your schedule, and we’d love to help you find it.
If you're interested in getting involved or learning more, please reach out to our PTSA President over the summer -- woodmoorptsachair@gmail.com
Thank you for being such an essential part of the Woodmoor community. Together, we can make next year our best one yet!
In addition to the elected positions, we still have several important non-elected board and committee roles to fill. You can find descriptions of these roles at the link here.
Some of the open positions include:
Emergency Preparedness (E-Prep) Chair
Staff Appreciation Coordinator
Popcorn Friday Lead
Volunteer Coordinator
Social Services Lead
This summer, Woodmoor will be relocating 18 classrooms to better serve all of our students. It's a big undertaking, and we could use your help!
We’re looking for volunteers on:
Tuesday, June 24th and/or Thursday, June 26th
8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Your support will help lighten the load for our teachers and staff. All types of volunteers are welcome—families, friends, community members!
If you have wagons, flatbeds, dollies, or similar equipment, please bring them along—they’ll be incredibly helpful.
Thank you for helping make this transition a success!

Community Serve Day is an event where local churches, schools and the community come together to help over 30 Northshore and Lake Washington schools prepare for the first day of school. For one day, we all set aside our regular Sunday activities to volunteer by weeding, spreading mulch, touching up playground paint, volunteering alongside teachers to prepare classrooms and more. Outdoor and indoor volunteer opportunities.
